I broke up with my Bf :(?read please ?

My boyfriend cheated on me so many time and stupid me I gave in and forgave him.. So one day he comes crying to me saying his in love with me and he wants me to meet his parents and his friends and the only girl he wants is me. And it hurted me.. So we spoke and I told him lets just be friends for now and he said he's always the happiest when he's with me and its hurts him a lot. But his a pothead and I feel like he needs time for himself. But its killing him because I think I'm in love with him.. So last night he said give me the final answer for what's going to happen between us so I sent him this quote " we must be willing to let go of the life we have planned , to accept the life that is waiting for us" I've woke up crying. Reading this quote over and over again.. I want to let him go but I also want to be with him :( I just don't trust him anymore
